Write From the Heart Using Teresa Collins

November 20, 2013 by Jen Budge

photoBeing that Thanksgiving is next week scrapping this page made me really THANKFUL for the family that I married into 9 years ago and Thankful to have such Silly memories with them all.  Memories that I also have photos to remember the night even better.  I LOVED working with Teresa Collins MEMORABILIA line.  So AMAZING!!!  Loved everything about it.  The colors, patters, and feel of the whole collection!!!  I’m going to have to get more of this line for sure.

DSC_6959This layout was actually very simple to create.  I only used 2 borders which proves that keeping things simple still adds so much to your pages using Kiwi Lane Border Sets.

To spice them up a little I used sequins that came with the Teresa Collins goodies I received.  I had never worked with Sequins and was super nervous on how I would incorporate them into my layout.  But I really love how they turned out!  I simply took a paper piercer and eyed the spacing along the edge of my border and poked holes where I felt needed.  I then took some thicker string and a needle and began lacing it thru the edge of my border and adding sequins when I needed to in order to give my page this look.

DSC_6951I also wanted to try and spice up my journaling areas by using regular and bold fonts along with sizing when printing out my journaling/captions.  I think this added a fun element instead of just using one font and size.

The tiny shapes set is perfect for small journaling spots like I used with the Oval on the bottom left page of my layout.  I also used the hexagon to tuck on the side of the couple photos I used to type the names of who was in them.  Simple & Great.
